Blank costs are unknown, not confirmed free. Enter each charge once; if transportation already includes packing, do not add it again. Subtotals exclude unpriced services. A deposit is normally a payment toward the total—confirm this in writing. Read the worked comparison.

“Subtotal less deposit” is arithmetic for the charges you entered, not a legal delivery-payment calculation. Confirm terms and unpriced changes with the company.

How to use this tool

Compare the same work before comparing the price

The decoder organizes your entries and questions. It does not check company credentials, decide legal compliance or declare a winning provider.

1. Use one shipment description

Compare estimates for the same inventory, access, dates and requested services. Record differences in the Excluded or unpriced services field.

2. Keep unknown costs visible

Leave unconfirmed figures blank. Enter 0 only when you have confirmed no additional charge, including services already included in transportation. A credited deposit is not another service charge.

3. Resolve questions in writing

Review the summary and questions below each quote. Confirm the estimate type, delivery window, valuation and payment terms. Use the official lookup separately for an interstate mover or broker.
